Notice of Video Surveillance on Campus

Video surveillance cameras are in use on our campus.  Cameras are installed in public areas where there is no expectation of privacy, e.g. parking lot, walkways, entryways.  Video recordings will not be archived and will be erased after ten (10) days unless an incident recorded involves the violation of law or of Chapter 8-19, Hawaii Administrative Rules ("Student Misconduct, Discipline, School Searches and Seizures, Reporting Offenses, Police Interviews and Arrests, and Restitution for Vandalism and Negligence"), and further investigation is warranted.
