Aloha and welcome to our 4th grade 'ohana! Fourth grade is such a special time—a year packed with much growth and discovery, achievements, deep connection, and experiences that will hopefully leave an impression on your child for years to come.
What to Expect This Year
-
Growth & Independence: Watch your child blossom as they learn to navigate challenges, take ownership of their learning, and practice mālama—caring for themselves, their peers, and our classroom community.
-
Exciting Discoveries: From diving deep into Hawaiian culture, exploring scientific ideas, mastering math concepts, or simply expanding their knowledge through books- every day brings fresh opportunities to learn.
-
Culminating Big Island Huaka'i: As a highlight of our year, our 4th graders will travel to the Big Island this April! This trip brings our social studies and science learning to life as students explore native ecosystems, volcanic geology, and rich Hawaiian history firsthand.
-
A Supportive Community: Our classroom is a place grounded in aloha—a safe, encouraging space where every student is valued, supported, and cheered on as they grow their minds and build lifelong friendships.
We consider it a privilege to partner with your family this year. Your love, support, and presence mean the world to your child, and we are so grateful to work and walk alongside you. Our doors are always open, and we cannot wait to watch our 4th graders shine!
