What do school counselors do?
We provide a school counseling program that is built to support our elementary keiki across three core domains: academic achievement, social/emotional development, and early career awareness.
At MES, our school counselors provide:
- Classroom lessons on Social Emotional Learning
- Small group counseling
- Short-term individual counseling
- Crisis response
- Consultation with parents and teachers
- Community resource referrals (including longer term therapy services)
